  Yesterday Grandpa died a faithful JW.... or was he.

  yesterday at 3 am my grandfather.. 95 more or less... passed away after a heart attack... i got the call at 8 am.

  so i am the oldest grandson (out of 40) he was faithful, (thats what they want to say) reality is he wasnt, he cursed, he drank, he had plenty of women during his life.. he was an elder at some point and he was ultra good with everyone.

  he had a heart of gold... he treated me as his son, he never cared about my status.

  Im so sorry for your loss Jesus. Im glad you told your Grampa over and over again how much you cared for him and what he meant to you, and you will have those moments and conversations to look back on and keep close to your heart.

  Those fervent JW who cared for him wont get a chance to tell him in Paradise what he meant to them........you already did.

  Sending you my deepest sympathy Hoping the funeral went as well as it possibly could for you x

  My 66th birthday is today!!

  once i was little boy in fort worth, texas living with my maw maw and paw paw and mommy.. then, i was an 18 year old 6'4'' skinny 165lb religious nut being dipped in a baptismal during a local assembly.. suddenly, i was 20 and listening to a jail cell door clang behind me as a conscientious objector.. wow!

  23 years old and put on parole until my 6 years sentence was ended!

  i got married to a nice jw girl and had 3 kids!.

  Can you equate Jehovah as a murderer???

  had this long talk with hubby about the fact that if you allow your child to die because of the blood issue you are no different then a murderer.

  he said then jehovah is a murderer because he allowed his son to die.

  he knew what was going to happen and allowed it when he could have stopped it..... hmmmm, not sure how to wrap my brain around that.

  greetings everyone.. just wanted to say hello to everyone, being a new member from western europe.. some may know me from another forum (eden, from e-jehovas-witnesses.com), but most don't, so this is my little intro.. male, in my early 40's.

  still an active member in good standing of a jehovah's witnesses congregation in my country, and honestly not planning to change that status, despite my unorthodox beliefs.

  sometime i will elaborate the reason why i don't feel i must leave.

  i have spent too much time on here over the xmas hols, thanks mainly to our rotten uk weather.. i am back at work tomorrow, where i can at least talk with other science grads who actually understand how the world works, and where i can have intelligent conversations about cosmetic ingredients.

  yes cosmetic ingredients!

  i know that what i do is not making an enormous difference (except for eczema sufferers), but trying to debate stupidity on here over the last 3 weeks has been totally fruitless and frustrating.
